The New Jersey Association of Library Assistants (NJALA) has made the difficult decision to cancel the NJALA 34th Annual Conference, which was slated to be held at Bally’s Atlantic City Hotel and Casino on Tuesday, June 16th. Given the uncertainty surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, we feel that it would be safest for everyone–our speakers, our attendees, and our committee members–to postpone the annual conference until 2021.
NJALA would like to thank the conference planning committee for all of the hard work they put into planning the conference, especially our conference co-chairs, Suzanne Wright and HelenMarie Cannone, and our president, Vince Stewart.
Also, thank you to the speakers, especially keynote speaker Stephanie Evanovich, who had committed to volunteering their time to present at the conference. Please be assured NJALA is already working on making the 2021 conference an outstanding program, and we will remain in contact with our members as the situation develops. NJALA thanks you for your continued understanding.
Stay safe.
