Program Description: 

In this session, Evelynn Moon will share about the resources and programs available both virtually and in-person to support grieving children and families through Good Grief. Together we will identify the various losses and adversities that people face and their impact on behaviors, learning, relationships, and wellbeing, explore the multidimensional nature of the grief experience, and discuss best practices around supporting grief.

Presenter Bio: 

At Good Grief, Evelynn prepares volunteers to facilitate peer support programming in our centers, works with schools to implement grief-informed curriculum and professional development, and spearheads Good Grief’s virtual learning initiatives. Evelynn curates the monthly webinar series for containing education for the Good Grief community. She leads the creation of the yearly Good Grief Spring Symposium. Evelynn worked as a subject matter expert in the development of the Good Grief Schools eLearning platform. Evelynn also serves as a Team Coordinator for Virtual Night of Support for adults and young adults. Most recently, Evelynn has been immersed in the Good Grief at Work initiative to support other orgs and corporations to become more grief and trauma informed (coming in 2023!)
